Jonathan Edwards was born in 1703 to a family of great thinkers, preachers, and also doers. John was always smart since growing up, he made it into Yale at age thirteen which was really impressive back in the day. He graduated from Yale from Yale at age seventeen and by the age of twenty-one he already had his masters. Jonathan always believed in his religion, and he wanted to become a pastor, which he succeeded by being in the church for around twenty-four years.
First off, I myself am a big fan of how he starts off his book, he is saying that even the you may be dropping down in life, you will never fully go all the way down unless God looses his grip or chooses to let go. That is really inspiring to me, makes me feel like no matter how low in life I will get, I could always be brought back up. I also enjoy the part were Jonathan talks about how you shouldn’t dig yourself a deeper hole then what you are already in. He is saying that if you are in trouble, or you did something wrong that you should just take the blame right then and now. Don’t make it worse then it had to be. Overall I am really impressed with the life of Jonathan Edwards, he changed the world of how we see it today.
